For Qu-Zen, there was no epiphany, no “eureka” moment when she suddenly decided to start DJing. Instead, years spent at the front and centre of the dancefloor led to the natural step of buying decks and a mixer. And it’s these formative years that gave her a deep understanding of programming a set and engaging the most important people in the venue: the crowd.

  .darkroom has been a quiet achiever, flying entirely under the radar since 1992. Originally invite only affairs and kept within close circles of like minded people, our soirees were held in garages, spare rooms of houses and/or whichever vacant space that was accessible at the time.

Now many years later and showing no signs of slowing, we would love it if you and any other like minded beings with a penchant for a niche vibe would like to join us amidst this, our most beloved sound.
